Patriots Pen

While many other countries have done wonderful things for themselves and their citizens, the country that I am most proud of is The United States of America.

America has done many things to be proud of such as win wars, fight for our freedom, provide good jobs and provided children with a good education. I am proud of these things because if America didn’t win the wars we would have been overrun by the Germans, Koreans and all of the other races that we have fought. Also, if the America didn’t fight for our freedom then we wouldn’t be able to do anything out of our own free will. For example, woman wouldn’t be able to go out of the house and also wouldn’t be able to vote on Election Day. Also, if America didn’t provide jobs for people, then no one could make a decent living in America. Many other people from other countries are proud of this country as well. Lastly, if we didn’t have a good education how would children and adults learn anything about math, science, social studies and other subjects.

People have come from all over the world to the United States to find good jobs and a better life. They choose here because all of them know that they can live a better life here in the United States. For example my stepfather, he was born and raised in Central America, then he came to the United States and is having a much better life here working with my mother. He is also very proud of America and everything it has had to offer him, his family and friends. Many children from other countries have attended the schools and have learned many things about American History and other major subjects.

There are even more reasons to be proud of America but I feel that I have told you mine. What things has America done to make you proud?    

Ninjas

Author’s Note:

In a small village many things lurk in the forest, but only they come out when dusk falls. They are equipped with the best weapons that could pierce through the toughest armor and armed with the best battle strategies. If you see a person dressed in all black and has a kantana in their hand, then you better be prepared because you have just come across a ninja!

 Ninjas… Moving like cats through the trees jumping from branch to branch barely touching it with the tip of their toes. Wind blowing against them as they run from approaching samurai. As they blend in with the surrounding trees and branches they listen very closely to the soft footsteps of the samurai. Once they hear the samurai leave, they run with great speed to their village. As they approach the village, they couldn’t have been prepared for what they were about to see.

Once they arrived to the village they were shocked at what they saw. A huge fire had started while they were gone! Woman trying to carry their children in their arms and men trying to get everyone away from the approaching flames. Both of the ninjas wondering how this could have happened and who could have done it. Suddenly, out of nowhere many shurikans fly by their heads. Using their kantanas, they accurately block all of them. As they silently wait for any more attacks a person dressed in all black appears out from the trees and they couldn’t believe who it was. As the sensei’s daughter walks out from the forest with her head held high she says four words “My father is dead” Then walks off into the night.

About a year later the village is back to normal. The sensei’s daughter never came back to the village, they eventually found a new sensei and made sure his daughter would never betray to clan. The village was then reformed and brought back to harmony.
